This past Monday, Fernando Henrique Cardoso came to speak at Vanderbilt. Early in the day he met with graduate students from the Humanities. Yeah, it was pretty cool. I mean, I had never met a president before. The other guy is Matthew Layton. He is a graduate student in Latin American Studies. His wife is Brazilian and they just moved into the ward at the beginning of the semester. They're really cool people. Any way, kind of a cool experience.Thursday, October 11, 2007
