Hotchy Doggie

Do these look like typical American hot dogs? Well, according to the Wikipedia entry in Portuguese they do. I don't know anybody that puts that much Grey Poupon on a hot dog. Do you?

There are many Anglicisms that have found their way into Brazilian Portuguese. "Hot dog" is one of them, but they pronounce it "hotchy doggie."

I love Brazil.

I could really go for a completo as well. Man, there's nothing better than a pile of palta on your hot dog. (Palta = avocado for all you gringos.)

I just think that it's funny that the picture I posted is of what Brazilians think an American hot dog looks like. Because their hot dogs certainly don't look like that.
