2:00 PM - Little Girl starts tugging on her left ear, complaining of pain.
3:00 PM - Pain escalates. We think she has an ear infection and needs an antibiotic.
4:00 PM - Little Girl cries and screams. Tylenol is administered. Aimee calls the doctor. They say that the only option is the ER.
5:00 PM - Ibuprofen is administered. We leave for the hospital, dropping Big Boy at a friend's house.
5:30 PM - Arrive at ER at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Little Girl calms down significantly.
7:00 PM - Escorted from the ER waiting room to another waiting room. Little Girl starts skipping and jumping around. She is rather loud.
8:00 PM - Escorted into the examination room. Little Girl amuses and entertains her parents by giving them a thumbs up and saying "Dude!" We wonder whether or not we should have come.
8:45 PM - Dr. Brothers arrives and apologizes for the delay. He looks at Little Girl's ear and confirms that she has an ear infection and needs amoxicillin.
9:00 PM - The nurse gives us ear drops and discharge papers.
9:15 PM - We head home.
9:40 PM - We stop by the local Walgreens to fill the prescription.
10:00 PM - We pick up Big Boy.
10:15 PM - We get some French fries at Jack in the Box for Little Girl - her treat for being brave.
10:30 PM - We arrive home, Big Boy is down for the count but Little Girl is still wired. We eat and watch an episode of the Simpsons.
11:30 PM - I start writing this post.
